Mandy was born into a family of artists in Woodcote, South Oxfordshire and went on to study 3D Design at the Berkshire College of Art and Design. In a musical interlude she wrote songs and sang backing vocals for artists on TV, radio, live tours and in music videos, all the while working in a care home doing the hoovering and washing up.

She played small venues with her own band and went busking with a cello player on a three month visit to Prague (as well as dancing on the bars at happy hour, she played on the famous Charles Bridge and took on two mural commissions while she was there). On her return she started up a mural painting business working for clients such as Fullers Brewery, the Irish Tourist Board, architects, schools and private clients.

In 2003 – 2004, along with two fellow artists, Mandy set up and managed three pop up galleries in Reading, showcasing her own canvasses as well as the work of several local artists. Since then she has developed and delivered arts workshops in schools and in the community as well as running team building workshops for businesses.

Mandy is now teaching art classes for adults at her home in West Berkshire, and working on portrait commissions. She built a house with her husband John and wrote a book about it. Have a look here: www.mudandmarriage.co.uk
